Isabelle Bloch

Isabelle Bloch is graduated from Ecole des Mines de Paris, and hold a master from University Paris XII. She obtained her PhD at Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications (Télécom ParisTech now) in 1990, and her Habilitation at Paris V in 1995.
She is teaching at Télécom ParisTech, where she is in charge of the Image program, at Pierre et Marie Curie university (Paris VI), where she is in charge of the Image master, and at Paris-Saclay university. Her research focuses on 3D image understanding, in particular in medical imaging, mathematical morphology, structural shape and object recognition, using graphs and models, fuzzy sets theory, information fusion, logics and spatial reasoning. She published more than 140 papers in international journals, and co-advised more than 65 PhD theses.
She is involved in the image processing part of the project, in collaboration with Florence Rossant (ISEP) and Michel Pâques (XV-XX). She is co-advising the PhD thesis of Iyèd Trimèche, and thus contributes to the higher education of young researchers.
